The Liberty, Braamfontein Johannesburg
This block of apartments was specifically designed to meet the needs of the trendy city dweller.
Project Brief: Create small to medium size apartments that would attract a new generation of city dwellers to Braamfontein.
Core Concept: Open-plan ‘industrial’ lofts that optimize the existing space.
The original structure allowed us to strengthen the sensation of city living by creating balconies and terraces on all sides. The building was renovated using glass, exposed brick and concrete beams.
